Going far for a bestie.
Tired of the Dragon Kingdom's taunting and squabbling, a little green dragon wanders into the woods. On his adventure, he meets a variety of animal species and tries to make new friends. No one, however, wanted to befriend a terrifying-looking dragon. So he kept traveling until he reached the end of the forest and came across a building with the word 'school' written on it. On the other hand, the dragon remained peacefully hidden behind a tree, watching all the happy children. Then, a young guy appeared out of nowhere and approached the dragon. By the way, what happened to the dragon?
We picked this book for its title. The story follows a timid dragon that wishes to leave his current world and make new acquaintances. The book can be used to teach children about not being judgmental of others and how a single act of kindness can go a long way toward building great relationships. The visuals complement the plot.
The green dragon in Linda Drattell and Eve Marie Little's Who Wants to Be Friends with a Dragon, illustrated by Marc Vicente, may inspire young children to go the extra mile to make lifelong friends.
