Love and be loved.
A little girl is encouraged to love someone covered with spots, someone whose clothes are made of knots, an old granny, a big woman, a poor man, a disabled boy, a sick girl, and people of every kind. And she is encouraged to do so only because that is the right thing.
We picked this book for its encouraging title. While the storyline is easy to read, young children may need an adult’s help to understand a few messages. The illustrations are whimsical and colorful and work for the theme.
Love On Someone Different Than You by S. Renee Mack is a colorfully illustrated book about encouraging children to accept and love people without bias.
