Gustavo, the Shy Ghost

An out-of-the-world friend!

Gustavo is a ghost who lives with his family and enjoys doing many ghostly activities. However, he has two passions: playing the violin and admiring Alma, the most beautiful monster he has ever seen. Unfortunately, Gustavo is timid and struggles to make friends. This poses a problem for him. What will become of Gustavo?

We picked this book based on a recommendation. This book could be a good pick for Halloween if you’re looking for something non-scary and cute. It tells the story of a little ghost who longs to befriend a fellow ghost, but his shyness holds him back. One day, he finds the courage to do something bold and gains an entire group of friends. The illustrations are simply adorable and complement the storyline perfectly.

In Flavia Z. Drago’s book Gustavo, the Shy Ghost, Little Gustavo’s actions inspire shy children to leave their comfort zones and make friends.
