A place of love for all.
A little boy lives in his home, which is his castle. And there are many more castles nearby. So the boy explores further in the city and finds castles in many shapes and sizes. Each one of them has some element of surprise. But when the boy moves to the countryside, to his wonder, he finds even animals have their own castles. And the best part is they are more amusing than the human ones. But what’s a castle? Can everyone really have one?
We picked this book for its cover. The book talks about how various living beings’ different shelters are castles for them. The watercolor illustrations are simple and work well for the story. However, younger children may need an adult’s help understanding the conclusion.
All Kinds of Castles by Annie M. Wyatt is an easy-to-read rhyming story of a little boy’s quest to find everyone’s castles, leading to a greater realization.
