Every dream needs a team!
Every dream requires people to help it come true. An architect creates the plan, but someone has to cut the log, pound the nail, and build the house. Engineering a bridge necessitates math and science skills, but building one requires mining the ore, welding the steel, and so on. This holds true for everything from building a fountain to writing a book.
We picked this book for its title. We all have dreams, but they are only meaningful if we have people to help us realize them. So, while some dreams require less help, others require a great deal. The book discusses many professions and how everyone works together to create something. Every job is equal, and it takes many people to make a dream come true. The story is all-encompassing, and the illustrations complement it well.
Someone Builds the Dream by Lisa Wheeler is a must-read for young children for its thought-provoking, rhyming story about teamwork illustrated tenderly by Loren Long.
