Sir Lankylot was a knight, but did he indeed deserve the recognition? Because he was silly and anything but brave, and so was his horse, Clip Clop Bill. One day, Lanky and Bill heard a cry. They rushed in the sound's direction, but the ride wasn't easy. They climbed and rolled a hill and landed in a mess. Finally, after a long tiring ride, they reached the place, and a dragon guarded it. But, oh no, what happened to Bill and Lanky?
We picked this book for its title. This entertaining tale tells the origin of an unremarkable man who, by chance, receives a glory he didn't deserve. The quirky artwork goes well with the narrative. The author also includes a glossary and a punctuation activity for children.
Lanky plays Shrek, but with a hilarious twist. The rhyming narration and colorful illustrations of Kelly Barker-Evans will fascinate children in Christopher Hayward's Sir Lankylot and Clip Clop Bill.
