Ready... Set... Frog!

Frog on...

Frogathon Spot resides on Harmony Lane and enjoys playing games with his neighbors. One day, his mother mentioned an upcoming obstacle course event that would be held on Harmony Lane. Intrigued, Frogathon decides to practice for the course in preparation. The following day, just as he carefully stacked stones and prepared himself to jump, a sudden sound startles him, causing his stone pile to come crashing down. To his surprise, his friend Mole appears and asks for assistance retrieving an apple from a nearby tree. Frogathon's attempts to practice for the obstacle course are continuously disrupted by interruptions from others.

We picked this book for its title. The story of Frogathon Spot tells the tale of a frog who forgets his priorities, puts his friends first, and loses track of time before the game. Frog's actions serve as both an inspiration and a reminder for children to learn the importance of prioritizing. The illustrations in the book are vibrant and colorful, further enhancing the storytelling experience.

Ready... Set... Frog!, written by Katharine Mitropoulos and whimsically illustrated by Laura Watson, is an excellent book for teaching young children the importance of balancing priorities and knowing when to say no.
